How to use an Xtream Codes login
An Xtream Codes login is three pieces of information — a server address, a username and a password — that you enter into your IPTV player instead of pasting a playlist link. The player then asks the server directly for your channels, movies and series.
What you need
- Server address — a hostname with a port, such as
http://example.com:8080. - Username
- Password
If your provider only sent you a long M3U link, you already have all three: they are embedded in it. The part before /get.php is the server, and the username= and password= values are the other two.
Entering it
- In ZephyrTV, choose Xtream Codes at setup.
- Enter the server address exactly, including
http://orhttps://and the port number. - Enter the username and password, watching for autocorrect capitalising the first letter.
- Confirm and let the catalogue import.
On a television
Entering credentials with a remote invites typos. Pair from your phone instead — the TV shows a QR code, you type on the phone, and the details transfer over Wi-Fi.
Xtream Codes versus a plain M3U link
| Xtream Codes | M3U link | |
|---|---|---|
| Movies and series | Properly separated, with posters and descriptions | Often mixed in with live channels |
| Refreshing | Queries the server for current content | Re-downloads the whole list |
| Setup | Three fields | One long link |
| Availability | Only if your provider runs it | Nearly universal |
Where a provider offers both, Xtream Codes usually gives the better experience for movies and series, because the metadata arrives as structured data rather than being inferred from channel names.
When the login fails
| Message | Usual cause |
|---|---|
| Invalid credentials | A typo, or autocorrect altering the username. Retype carefully. |
| Cannot reach server | Wrong port, or the provider's server is down. |
| Connects but no content | Subscription expired or not yet activated. |
| Works then stops | Concurrent-stream limit, or credentials rotated on renewal. |

Frequently asked questions
Is Xtream Codes a provider?
No. It is server software that many providers run. Your subscription is with the provider, not with Xtream Codes.
Can I convert my M3U link into Xtream credentials?
If the link has the get.php form, yes — the server, username and password are all inside it.
Which should I choose if offered both?
Xtream Codes, generally, for better movie and series organisation.
Are my credentials stored safely?
In ZephyrTV they stay on your device; there is no account and no server-side copy.
