How to use an Xtream Codes login

Updated 2026-08-03

An Xtream Codes login is three pieces of information — a server address, a username and a password — that you enter into your IPTV player instead of pasting a playlist link. The player then asks the server directly for your channels, movies and series.

What you need

If your provider only sent you a long M3U link, you already have all three: they are embedded in it. The part before /get.php is the server, and the username= and password= values are the other two.

Entering it

  1. In ZephyrTV, choose Xtream Codes at setup.
  2. Enter the server address exactly, including http:// or https:// and the port number.
  3. Enter the username and password, watching for autocorrect capitalising the first letter.
  4. Confirm and let the catalogue import.

On a television

Entering credentials with a remote invites typos. Pair from your phone instead — the TV shows a QR code, you type on the phone, and the details transfer over Wi-Fi.

Xtream Codes versus a plain M3U link

Xtream CodesM3U link
Movies and seriesProperly separated, with posters and descriptionsOften mixed in with live channels
RefreshingQueries the server for current contentRe-downloads the whole list
SetupThree fieldsOne long link
AvailabilityOnly if your provider runs itNearly universal

Where a provider offers both, Xtream Codes usually gives the better experience for movies and series, because the metadata arrives as structured data rather than being inferred from channel names.

ZephyrTV is a modern IPTV player for Android phones, tablets, Android TV and Google TV. Paste an M3U link, open an M3U file, or sign in with Xtream Codes — your channels, movies and series import automatically, with a real 7-day TV guide. Frequently asked questions

Is Xtream Codes a provider?

No. It is server software that many providers run. Your subscription is with the provider, not with Xtream Codes.

Can I convert my M3U link into Xtream credentials?

If the link has the get.php form, yes — the server, username and password are all inside it.

Which should I choose if offered both?

Xtream Codes, generally, for better movie and series organisation.

Are my credentials stored safely?

In ZephyrTV they stay on your device; there is no account and no server-side copy.
